The Scream Of The Mother
The Scream Of The Mother
What a wonderful land!
Full of flowers and green fields
Here the air is fresh with a sweet odor
Food for millions, this land yields.
Saying such, a proud man
Was boasting about the land
But, the air that felt pure and fresh
Now suddenly became bland.
A scream came from the sky
A scream from the fields
A scream of a lady whose
Son came home but killed.
The blood from his body
Flowing down his vest
Was now flowing with his mother's tears
Silent was the rest.
As his body was taken away
His wife stood lifeless
As if a person who is living,
But life itself seemed meaningless.
When the body was set on Chita
Another scream followed
This came like a storm and rain
The Mother expressed her sorrow.
The Mother lost so many children
In that day, she could not help but scream
Her children died protecting her
While others were having sweet dreams.
Such beauty, such freedom
With time it will not fade
For this everlasting beauty of this Mother
Is through their sacrifice and bloodshed.
