The Road Lay Alone
The Road Lay Alone
The road lay alone where
Every one was in hustle and bustle
With polished speed traffic
But today slow and silent
With old and young trees both
The sides dripping with sadness
Makes patches of dark colours
Due to fog that hounches on knees
Over it and surrounds velvet green
Fields, and over the country
As it was sunday morning
In December the last of the month
Of cold winter that freezes most
Of the objects on the earth.
