Smiling Flowers

In the fields and meadows bright

Amidst the grass and clover white

There grows a flower fair and gay

That greets us with a smile every day

Its petals soft as butterfly wings

Its colours bright as a precious things

It sways in the breeze with grace and ease

And fills our heart with joy and peace

The sun shines down upon its face

And all its beauty it does embrace

 And as it opens to the light

Its smile grows stronger, pure and bright

Oh, smiling flowers, how you cheer

Our hearts and souls, both far and near

You remind us that life is sweet

And every moment is a treat

So let us cherish every bloom

And let its beauty light our gloom
