The Perks Of Childhood
The Perks Of Childhood

I stepped into adulthood today,
The problems, the dramas
The examinations of life
The failures and what not.
Problems are no more solved
Using games like in-pin-safety-pin.
You just don't forget them
By crying on your mother's lap.
Your decisions become crucial for your future,
And boy, the degree of toughness they carry.
I miss those days of childhood
When my only dream was to grow up soon.
No one ever warned me
What a web of deceiving lies that was.
Oh childhood, please come back
You're my most prized possession lost.
I'm fed up with adulthood already
Where I have to grow stronger everyday.
