Faces Of A Man
Faces Of A Man

People have many faces,
That's what always I used to hear,
Growing up and till yesterday,
Never in my life I thought
Today I will see it.
One person, and faces uncountable
Mingling together, morphing together.
I'm standing there in front of you,
Seeing one or many
A thought came inside my head,
Do YOU know your real face?
You carry many versions of yourself,
All a mirage to the eye,
You hid your true one
From the world, from yourself?
Where do you hide your real self,
How the real you looks like?
My mind is curious to know
My hands are curious to remove the masks
My eyes are curious to see.
But, my heart.
Why can't this silly agree to anything,
How come this silly is not curious.
Or is it silly really?
It says, you've got no real face
And the face you'll show as real,
Will look as real
But won't be real.
You'll fake it as you've done that
Now and before that.
My heart is smart enough to know the truth,
My heart is strong enough to accept the truth.
For what I see, you standing in front of me
Carrying the weight of your masks,
Of your different versions and your heavy conscience.
I see you shortening, inch by inch
For your body couldn't hold the weight.
What is truth, and what are the lies.
Is there truth in any of your lies?
I was innocent, before I met you.
You cared to show the world to me,
How filthy can someone be.
I no longer can stand in front of you,
I no longer can see the covered you.
People with many faces,
All faces unreal.
Life of lies is what they live,
Their truth disappears.
People have many faces,
