The Other Side

I want to be a bird, thought the girl

I want to be woman, cooed the bird

We always wish for what we cannot have

Yet it does not hurt to dream

At least not much

We always look and want 

The so called things that we cannot reach

Though It is good to aspire

It might not always be a good thing

In the pursuit for a better or different life

We often lose sight of the good we have

We keep yearning and complaining

Failing to realise 

That someone finds our life as a blessing
