The Ocean Eyes
The Ocean Eyes
The cave was dark until he imagined there's no light.
He stitched his own heart with a grey yarn over the night.
The blood dribbled as an art,
And the sore withered thereupon.
The years he'd lurk
Were the days he'd never count.
The eyes where the ocean lies
Were the depth once you lived.
Deep, deeper than shallow.
Wild, wilder than your wispy arrow.
He perished so far
But was reborn with ocean eyes from where he'd frost.
