The Mother In Me

I often like to be alone and set free,

But there's someone who clings to me,

Setting aside the freedom to let be,

Lives her life, the mother in me...

Aww, such a lovely smile!

Yes! That's her first mile!

Started school when she was less than three,

Reminisces the mother in me...

Adorable and helpful too,

Quickly learned to eat and chew,

Hasn't ever been addicted to TV,

Says the proud mother in me...

As my baby began to grow,

I taught her to play catch and throw,

Now she clicks amazing selfies,

Time flies by so soon thinks the mother in me...

Whether she lives near or far,

She will always be close to my heart,

She's the best gift of my destiny,

Feels the mother in me...
