Romance

The long nights

The long nights

 Nightmares haunt my sleep,

Dreams torment my mind, a relentless beat.

A certain angel visits me, a vision divine,

Her smile illuminates the darkness, her eyes sparkle like stars that shine.

I embrace her, enfolding her tight,

Diving into her eyes, a deep, endless night.

Her voice is music, a melody so sweet,

In her arms, my worries cease, my heart skips a beat.

But then the dream shatters, like glass on the floor,

I wake up, frantically searching for her once more.

In my arms, In my dreams, I hold her near,

But reality hits like a running train, a painful spear.

Each piece of my heart holds her close, yet knows she's far away,

A bittersweet reminder of love's elusive sway."
