The Joys Of Acceptance
The Joys Of Acceptance
That wild road you call life,
You had a chance to trim it nicely,
You had a chance to make it a beauty,
But you spent hours gazing,
Gazing at its ugly.
Do you not see the music in the day,
The diamonds in stars,
The blanket of clouds,
A comfort never did you see
In the nature that always has been.
Cobblestone paved in your fate,
You saw hurdles,
But not try to pave the unpaved,
For if you had,
You wouldn't have complained,
About the scarring unfair.
You whine about the pond being too shallow,
The lake is too big and the ocean too deep.
You cry how you can't keep going,
You can't pass the hurdles that lay unmoving.
What you need is acceptance,
For with a quality such as that,
Every day would be a joy,
There would be now water shallow or valleys too deep,
For everything is just the same,
Accept you have everything,
And at last, you will be a beautiful flower at peace.
