The Helpless And The Hopeless

The elite people left their countries for fear of torture or risks of death,

Landed in your shores as refugees and the helpless souls seek asylum! 

They have family and kids but no place to live, nobody wants to care?

These innocent victims of circumstances are on their knees for help! 

 

They are not wanted in our society, there are no shelters, jobs or food,

Suspected as ‘intruders’, treated as economic or illegal immigrants 

Looked down with suspicion; nowhere to go and nobody wants to listen

They are seeking refugee status for protection at your doorsteps?

 

Nobody thinks it could happen to them and face such tragedies or losses,

Natural calamities; floods, landslides, wildfires or hurricanes can happen 

Manmade atrocities; wars, infighting; power struggles could occur!

Helpless people come to your country; wait indefinitely for sanctions!! 

 

When people are desperate; we must offer urgent support for their survival? 

Refugees forced to flee their homes may be skilled workers to be considered!

Takes time for them to settle, integrate into a community and have a normal life

Responsible nations must do their best to re-settle the stateless very fast?

“GIVE THEM HOPE & HELP THEM SOON!”
