The Guitar Playing Man
The Guitar Playing Man
Let's hear it for this fellow
He sure deserves a hand
Without him, there is nothing he's essential to the band
Plays his cords with great control
Strums his melody
Deep within his very soul, performs for you and me
Acoustic
Electric
Whatever is required
Their versions sound so different
They play how they're inspired
Strum their six-string instrument, their one and only feat
They stand alone all by themselves to make the sound complete
The men who play the six-string do so with finesse
They're talented musicians whom God did surely bless
They play their cherished instruments with confidence and ease
There's never any effort
Their souls make it a breeze
Clapton
Jimmy Hendrix, two of many greats
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Jimmy Page, the guy from Dire Straits
So many other legends, all with their own sound
This much I can say for sure, they'll always be around
Music wouldn't be the same if they did not exist
The very greats who passed away forever will be missed
Without them there is nothing, they're essential to the band
How about a round of hands for
The guitar-playing man.
