The Enchanted Maiden
The Enchanted Maiden
Across the seven shores in a glitter- glittery land,
Lived a mysterious golden-haired maiden!
Her face swoon like a silver moon
Her eyes twinkled like a morning star!
When the tides kissed the barren shores,
Her lonely heart sang a melodious song,
‘For all that glitters is not gold,
The shimmery diamonds do not behold
Come o'r my virtuous knight,
Free my soul and take me your bride'!
The song reverberated across the faraway land
Captivated the attention of a highwayman!
The horses galloped on cluttered streets
His eyes amazed as he reached the scene
Under the shiny cliffs and sun-kissed trees
Swaying her tresses, she looked bewitched!
He gently held her silvery hand,
Implanted a kiss and liberated her again,
The golden hues vanished in the sea
When the balmy breeze caressed the trees,
The maiden sang a different song,
Which echoed in her knight's heart!!
