The Crossroads

The soreness of being far away

Could only be felt with an aching heart

The love that tried to find its way

Could only succeed to tear me apart.

 

I tirelessly tried to turn the time

Hoping that you will stay forever

Holding on to love-drenching memories

I waited on the crossroads like a forlorn lover.

 

The incessant outpourings of pain

And the haze of my moist eyes

Finally succeeded in diminishing

Your cruel betrayal and sordid lies.
