Caged
Caged
Tell me not in silent whispers,
Humankind is in distress,
This Spring with her blossoming flowers,
Has put my mind to unrest.
The empty alleys and vacant pathways.
Deserted bazaars and eerie streets,
No more giggles and rosy faces,
To be seen on empty streets.
In the pursuit of material pleasures,
Humans plunder the Mother Earth,
Her wailing cries gone unnoticed,
befalls upon them, her worst curse.
Today the ailment has spread all over,
Humans confine to their homes,
Slowly regaining their lost consciousness,
They plead and bow to change their goals.
The nightingale is back in the garden,
Singing melodies with her kin,
The blooming flower bed in vivid colors
Frays and flutter with the wind!!
