Monsoon Diaries
Monsoon Diaries
One afternoon, the sunnier, clearer, bluer sky of my existence vanished
Slowly and steadily, sorrowful and regretful dark grey clouds began to cover the sky
Lightning strikes during a thunderstorm I was terrified as the winds blew as quickly as they could and my vision blurred
There was anarchy, gridlock, cancelled flights, and stopped trains
The news networks were warning people not to leave their homes, but as usual, not many people were dancing on the perilous streets
The lights went out, but thank God the generator was still running!
Wait a second! I was only daydreaming
I discovered that the monsoon is not only a season that lasts from June to September but rather occurs every day when I opened my yellowed monsoon journal and flipped its pages.
Worried about not reaching certain milestones in life
forgetting to laugh, to light up, to take in the beauty of nature
As our collective emotions ride a rollercoaster,
Rarely do we never notice it
Our lives are impacted by the changing of the seasons
Let's fervently and enthusiastically celebrate each season
Sadly, you realize that you forgot your umbrella and it is pouring
Rain-soaked and drenched as you get home
Imagine that it is the day of a college exam
While writing and remembering the answers, the pitter-patter of the rain may be heard.
The vibrant umbrellas and raincoats that are sold at stores
We can't decide which one to buy, so we get a black one instead
A source of relief for farmers and a celebration for animals and birds
It's enjoyable to participate in the Jaganath Rath Yatra, and it seems as though God is blessing everyone on earth when it rains
An essential component of the hydrological cycle is rain
We must understand that stopping global warming, climate change, acid rain, and the El Nino impact is urgently necessary
The joy of a monsoon is a calm, beautiful sensation
Let's enjoy the season like kids once again while eating onion pakoras and drinking chai
We can never predict what will occur in our lives
Stay in the now and embrace it as a gift
swiftly filling the pages of your spiral notebook.
