The Dental Fear

A nagging tooth is bothering me,

It really is a unbearable pain,

But unpredictable also it is,

Just when I think that it's better,

It rears its head once again,

I am going to 'bite' the bullet,

Having tried hard to resist,

But I must make an appointment,

To see the dreaded dentist !!

Like many other people dear & near,

Going to him holds my tear & fear,

That's why in spite of nagging toothache,

I have put the visit off a full year !

I am neither frightened of extraction,

Nor even any tooth he will feel,

But my fear of seeing the dentist,

Is getting that ......... whoppy bill !!
