The Charm Of The Moon

The Charm Of The Moon

The night was dark,

The stars weren’t really visible.

Eyes filled with tears,

Unable to breathe.

Tired of living,

Broken inside,

Smiling outside,

Unable to meet anyone’s expectations.

But then I saw

A gentle ray of moonlight—

The Charm of the Moon—

That fell on me!

That one moment

Just made me smile!

Everyone has their own shine,

And yes, it never left me alone.

It never made me feel alone,

Neither in my highs

Nor in my lows.

I felt relieved,

I realized...

I was accepted,

I was noticed,

I was loved—

If not by anyone,

Then by the moon,

By the Charm of the Moon!

I could hear it say:

"Wake up,

It's not over yet.

You can’t just give up.

You’re born to do

Something big,

Something great,

Something beautiful.

Move on from the past,

Forget the pain!"

I looked up and asked:

"Will you leave me too...

Like others did?"

The moon dulled its shine

And replied:

"Yes, my love.

Even if I don’t want to,

I have to!

We meet people

Only to leave them.

I’ll not be with you forever.

I came to teach you a lesson.

I came to make you strong.

And once my work is done...

I’m sorry, love,

But I’ll leave you.

But promise me:

You’ll be strong,

You’ll be happy,

You’ll be focused,

You’ll be brave,

And most importantly,

You’ll be who you are

And never change for anyone!"

I may not be with you forever,

But I will always be

Your one and only—

Charm of the Moon.

(FOR MY CHARM OF THE MOON!

I HAVE LOVED YOU

 AND WILL ALWAYS DO)
