Shining Again, My Comeback
Shining Again, My Comeback
During the darkest nights,
Tears filled my eyes,
Seeing the moon shine,
Silently I cried.
Remembering my failures,
How I fell,
Hiding my sobs,
In a pillow’s shell.
Thinking I can't do it,
It's not my cup of tea,
But then I remembered,
Who I used to be.
In brighter days,
I shone like a star,
Happy and proud,
The world watched from afar.
I gathered myself,
Wiped my tears,
I mended my broken pieces,
Confronting my fears.
"It's past self-vs. present self,"
I said with resolve,
"Your goal is tough,
But you can evolve."
"Rise up, girl,
You have to do it,"
I held my pen,
And pursued it.
Books on the table,
Sentences underlined,
"If not now, then never,"
Echoed in my mind.
Studying hard,
Eyes wide with dreams,
The goal is tough,
But the journey redeems.
We must fail once,
To succeed forever,
Every battle I'll fight,
I'll win.
And that will be,
My academic comeback,
From darkness to light,
I'll never look back.
