The Campus Tree
The Campus Tree
Firm you stand on the ground you dwell
Between the campus wall and the well
Numerous are thine leaves so old
Braving the adversities still so bold
As the spinning wheels of time passes by
You change your apparel as seasons fly
Shivering cold never could deter thou
Nor the Sun, burning bright though
Lots of people sit by your shade
Many relationships broken and made
Like the shining Sun they smile
Like the teary rain they wail
But you stand tall and lush
Sing and dance and even blush
Leaves leave and leave you alone
All but your empty branches are gone
Still you smile to the annihilating cold
Till new leaves spring out in the Spring
Thine flowers spread the fragrance of love
Luscious fruits sprout to take a bow
