The Blissful Rain
The Blissful Rain
Long were my days, sad and dreary,
The nights prolonged, without any sign.
Depressing were the times, all so weary,
All I could do was wait and pine.
As I stand in the night, all alone,
Comes the deep rumble from above,
The winds all around me whisper and moan,
It's time for things to grow.
The clouds have some big news,
While the winds drown the gloom in vain,
The darkening of the sky continues,
Here comes the blissful ra
in.
The rain patters on my window,
As if it's trying to come in,
It asks me to come down below,
And try and taste my skin.
I gleefully oblige as I run out,
Arms wide open to embrace the rain,
Down it pours, without a doubt,
Oh, here comes the blissful rain.
As the clouds rage down on me,
I feel completely empty, yet again,
As the stress and the pain leaves me,
Ah, here comes the blissful rain.
