Testament to Dunkirk Spirit
Testament to Dunkirk Spirit
Betrayed by my beloved ones, turned out I was a bovine,
Ousted from my home, was a victim of rapine.
Went to look for a shelter, was chased away like a swine,
But my presence pricked the sight of some like a spine.
Didn't resist the whips, as starvation made me supine,
Begged the strangers for a morsel, was fed a brucine.
Later came across a person, who offered me a clementine,
Catching the glimpse of food, I was on cloud nine.
Saw the symptoms of poison, he gave me the anodyne,
Hearing my stomach growl, he fed me a scaloppine,
Realized that his heart was extracted from an altruistic mine,
As Watching me recover boosted his dopamine.
After prolonged ill-treatment, I found a ray of sunshine,
Thenceforth learned not to give up and be fine.
