Tears of Sculpture
Tears of Sculpture
Long years ago there were persistent perseverance for me
Rampant plundering, massive austerities were there for me to enhance the dexterity
I was meticulously engraved on the walls of temples to bewitch the beholders
I was encapsulating the grandeur of culture with my exquisite crafts works
Dexterous artists were endeavoring to reveal the magic of their deft hands
So many foot falls the country was inviting for my enthralling and eyeball grabbing sights
But alas!
Everything has undergone massive changes
My beauties are on the verge of extinction and I am in dilapidated state
I am weeping for my past beauty but everything is a history
Visitors have lost their past excitement for me
They are not staring at me to imbibe my
hidden elegance
Pollution, acid rain, greenhouse effect have deteriorated my charming faces
Still I have the hope my past beauty will return to me
My picturesque glaze will be restored
I am the ramshackle sculpture
Making the silent plea to the sculptors to revive my past....
