Teacher

Life is our greatest teacher,

And yet in its meandering path,

One needs the light to be shone,

One needs the wisdom to grow,

One needs a pat on the back,

One needs a confidant. 

We meet many in our lives... 

But few do we recognize;

As one who has on us,

An indelible impression.

You are my teacher,

Who made a significant presence;

Guiding me to explore, experiment and enjoy -

The blissful union of agony and joy!

I wonder awhile how lonely and lost I 'd be -

Without you, how would I be me?

To know oneself better,

One needs a teacher.
