Stepping Stone
Stepping Stone
It was a very happy day when I came to sixth standard,
I found my new class beautiful and here and there I wandered.
I was unhappy to find few mischievous classmates back again,
All my efforts to get rid of them went in vain.
I was delighted to pass standard fifth with good marks,
Now I have to become a morning lark.
In sixth studying sanskrit is not a piece of cake,
When I study it I can't get into it and feel like jumping into a lake.
My habits didn't change and I still gossip with my buddies,
And I can easily deal with social studies.
With these new subject books my bag becomes as fat as elephant,
It is so heavy that I have to move with my back bent.
Anyway this year too with all the toppers I have to compete,
Bye for now my homework I have to complete.
