Steady And Subtle

Steady And Subtle

The night breeze

Caressed the scorching earth,

Blowing away pieces of heat

From the make belief hearth.

The wind sorted

The mess that the sun brought upon itself,

The same one that he couldn't clear

And so he cried for help.

Now the twinkling stars

Looked from far above,

The efforts to calm the earth down

And the failures that just strengthened one's love.

The earth did listen to its roar

And gave way to a second chance,

And that's how

Everyone agreed to put up with the other.

And determination changed things

For a better now.
