Splash!
Splash!
I wanted colours in my life,
Tired of the mundane black and white!
I wanted to do more than just survive,
And show the world my side that is bright!
Colours had taught me in essence,
That a splash of it here, a sprinkle of it there,
Could uplift our entire existence,
And spread positivity everywhere!
And their varieties are endless,
Each exuding vibrancy absolute!
Giving life to the lifeless!
Their aura, oh, I could only salute!
With that, one fine day,
I invited them over,
In my life to stay,
Not for just a day, but forever!
Initially, there were some hiccups,
Red wouldn't gel with blue!
Would throw up unnecessary tantrums,
I didn't know what to do!
Then I had an idea,
I invited all of them over,
For a cup of tea,
And then mixed them with each other!
In a matter of moments,
Each one lost its identity,
Each ceased to be each other's opponents,
In the resultant white, there was only unity!
Then I suggested them,
To resume social distance.
And who they were, they again became,
This time though, with a difference in stance!
They had learned thus,
To complement each other,
Instead of creating a fuss
And competing with one another!
This made me happy and content,
I started adding shades,
Wherever colours were non-existent!
Things had never been better, in decades!
Finally when it was done,
I heard a calling bell sound,
Guests? Oh no! they are my own!
In their eyes, I saw love profound!
You might be wondering,
About their identity!
Well, I won't keep you guessing,
They were Mr. Peace and Mrs. Tranquility!
