Sonnet Thirty-eight
Sonnet Thirty-eight
Gryffindor is a house known to be brave
At heart; Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Does set the house of Gryffindor apart,
All traits in which any person can see.
But is it this instilled bravado
Which gets students in a magical bind,
Or perhaps it is simply a motto
To become a leader — not stay behind.
To stand up for what is right in the realm,
To wield swords, whether magical or not,
One must decide to Captain, take the helm,
And rally others to fight Evil’s plot.
So cheer for the brave house of Gryffindor,
And dare to love — something worth fighting for.
