So, I Put A Halo On The Sun

So, I Put A Halo On The Sun

I was looking for the half of me

The part of me which is seemingly better

The part of me which has

Promised to come forth

Like the setting sun promising

To rise again next morning.

What would life be without this vow,

Without the ray of hope of the morning sun?

Though my promise is not as robust

As that of the western dusk

But I want to take a leap of faith

And believe in resurgence.
