A little bit of crimson thrown in now and then

While the underground Necropolis yawns and screams

Buried anguish and silent emptiness dredging their way

I embarked on a journey to study the art of computer programming

Reminded of poor aptitude and lack of common sense day after day

Engineering and discrete maths, digital electronics, and computer architecture

Database management systems and theory of computation

Somehow cleared the exams with passing marks

Body riddled with gastric ailments

Mental health degraded

Verge of committing suicide

Fell in love with a colleague

Who had a traumatic past

Which I still know nothing of

Everybody dying

Friends tryin’ to find the remains of their family in

Crematoriums and cemeteries

Bodies floating on the river, half-burnt

Wrote a lot of bullshit

Tried therapy

Tried medication

Quit porn for good

Tried watching content online

Really bad shit nowadays

Domestic violence, rape, abuse, larceny, battery, suicide, war

Chaos all around

Elections to decide the lesser evil

Who rules us

A mockery of democracy

If that word ever had a meaning

Took a trip somewhere

Really didn’t help

Became distant to mom and dad

Grandma almost died so many times in the hospital

Understood human nature.

Can’t decide whether I lived in the year ‘21

Or Not.
