Smile (Little One 3/20)

My little peanut is growing along,

Like a serene humming song.

Eat, sleep, weep is your cycle now,

These are basics for tiny bud to grow.

You usually don't trouble me a lot,

But thinking of the night gives me a scary thought.

After the vaccine shorts on your legs and arm,

It was a mammoth task to keep you calm.

You cried and wailed with all your might,

Stayed on my arms all through the night.

I cried with you all night long,

You were in pain but still strong.

The dark night came to an end,

Dawn and night started to blend.

Crimson rays fell on the porch,

Chirping birds where a sight to watch.

And there you were with little brown eyes,

The magical smile made me forget all my vice.
