Sleep

I love sleeping,

I think about it all the time,

And I sleep for so many hours a day,

I might as well be considered a feline!

The dreams I have at night,

Are better than the ones in day,

As those are the ones that come true,

As some might say.

A relaxing nap,

After a hot cup of tea,

Is the only thing I seek,

Whenever I'm free.

Too bad, this does not happen anymore,

In the busy life of mine,

As I'm never calm or relaxed enough,

To put myself to sleep just fine.

My day goes by in a blink,

Composed of only working hours,

And caffeine, and stress, and eye bags,

And absolutely no snores.

And when I finally go to bed,

In need of sleep urgently,

The last thought I have is,

WHEN WILL I CLOSE MY EYES FOR AN ETERNITY?
