Silent Echoes
Silent Echoes
In a world shrouded in darkness, my heart remains numb,
As I witness people entangled, like puppets on a drum.
Struggling to stay afloat, yet yearning to break free,
Forced unity crumbles, a facade for all to see.
I absorbed their anguish, from the very start,
Their traumas etched deep within, tearing me apart.
Like a broken vessel, I tried to mend and heal,
Yet their pain seeped into me, a wound that wouldn't seal.
Alone in a desert, the sand slipping through my grasp,
Their unshed tears, mirages in the past.
I drink in their sorrow, like a thirsty soul,
Their rivers of tears, an endless, haunting toll.
Their burdens weigh heavy, like chains on my soul,
Their stories and struggles, a labyrinth I patrol.
In the darkness, a void that swallows all hope,
A never-ending cycle, a downward slope.
Their tears, like rivers, flow endlessly,
A reflection of their pain, their silent plea.
And as I wander through this world so bleak,
I wonder, will their pain ever find its peak?
