Would You?

If I let you see my tears,

Would you gather them up like rain?

Store them in vials,

and name them as "my pain"?

 

Would you follow their trail?

from my cheeks to my lips?

Comfort the inscribe stories,

I’m too anxious to say.

You say the hurt,

Isn’t always my fault.

But would you dry my eyes,

and tell me never to cry?

If I let you see my tears,

would you let me see yours too?

And tell me that we might be lonely,

But we’re not alone.
