Abstract

What is life?

What is life?

Sometimes I ponder,

What is life?

A sheer gift from God,

where we are taught to thrive.

Learn to take that path,

that leads to the scenic destination,

where the birds are chirping,

and god is gracious.

That, where destiny is written,

in the midst of the clouds,

where none can snare.

It's just like a rocky road,

the same one that leads you,

to the top of the mountain.

And no, it's never outmoded.

Some people are diamonds,

oth

ers stay as coal.

Some may hit you,

some give you the score.

Blood sweat and tears,

are required to shed,

to give you the trophy,

to put on the nightstand by your bed.

But as they all say,

Good things come to an end.

This too must go.

The day comes,

where it all stops.

The rocking chair stops to rock,

and we go back up,

all the way to the start.

In god's lap we sit,

until we come back,

for our next visit.
