Sheaffer's Pen

Sheaffer's Pen

1 min
229

I started out with a Sheaffer's pen

Handed down two generations

Scratchy nib didn't ever change

The writing was legible so I write with it

Inspired by him, he wrote so well

Dad played with words none could equal

I am still trying to match his writing skills

Way to go, I tell myself.

I will not trade it for anything else

Makes me feel his presence

Whenever bereft of words

His/my pen involuntarily tells

'Don't stop, keep at it,

 Someday you'll get there'

And hear the ringing of success bells'
