Shame
Shame
In a garden full of roses,
Whose stems were full of sharp thorns,
A sunflower grew among them.
That girl was a sunflower,
She didn’t need protection.
She didn’t need a thing.
Yet,
She was willing to sacrifice some petals,
To be something she wasn’t.
In her eyes,
Everyone loved those roses,
And because she wasn’t a rose, she didn’t feel loved.
If that sunflower could make a wish,
I can’t help but wonder,
What would she wish?
