Shall We Fall Smiling?
Shall We Fall Smiling?
Shall we weave words,
Break the silence,
Express our gratitude,
And breathe life
Into a voiceless song,
Greeting the world with melody?
The first rain peeks in,
Caressing tender buds,
Waking slumbering dreams,
Gifting them wings of hope.
Yet when gloom descends,
And breath falters,
Life finds its way,
Draping green upon the earth.
The bees hum their tunes,
Hovering over fragile blossoms,
Stealing nectar,
Brushing past my silent heart.
Not a word, not a whisper—
Is there a bee
That understands silence?
By dawn, mist turns to a shroud,
Sunlight spills over me,
A gentle touch,
A quiet promise.
Among tender leaves,
I wait, smiling,
Hoping to belong to some forest,
Not to wither here and fall.
Which garland will embrace me?
Which corner shall I rest in?
At whose feet shall I land?
None but fate can tell!
Yet, with shackled heart,
Draped in silence,
You send me forth—
Shall I wither away unnoticed,
Or shall I fall, smiling?
