Second Time

Second Time

The season has changed

Summer has gone without a trace

The roses have withered from white to brown

Is it time to plant new flowers in their place?

I did water those flowers, maybe too much

Because I didn’t know how much to care for them

Or was it because of the sun

That they dried when I turned my back for a second.

But now, the season has changed

Should I report or throw them away

Its harder to wait for the second time

Knowing that they might end up rotting anyway.
