School

Where are those days?

When we used to play,

Also in school and,

We were called 'cool'

Not 'fool'.

When the last bell rang,

We used to stand straight,

To do prayers and,

Leave the room saying,

Hurray it's holiday, yoohoo.

Also to eat food ,

which was so good, like our mother's,

We had to stand in lines,

Without breaking it or,

It was a crime.

Sometimes waiting for teacher,

Or sometimes teacher for us,

Either she had to take some emergency work which came,

or we would be enjoying the break.

But now we are packed ,

At home,

Having a hope ,

To be soon again going to school.

We wish this pandemic ends ,

And we are again blessed with all things which are now at rest ...
