Rose Abides In Winter
Rose Abides In Winter
Words have failed,
Pearls of tears cascade down mellow cheeks;
The precious pain won't go away,
Now that it is the abode where Rose abides in Winter.
What could have been done when it had gotten out of hand?
When it had become hard to cherish the withered, yellow leaves,
Which bloomed and thrived ages ago,
But now lay buried deep inside the rusted soil?
Nothing more shall be said,
Its only healing to claim the promise,
With faith and hope shall the heart be braced,
When love has hurt and wounded the heart.
Oh! The crushing pain,
That torments my soul!
Yet,
Yonder the rain I've seen the sunshine,
Yonder the rain I've seen the rainbow.
Shall smiles radiate despite the tears?
Shall laughs echo despite the fears?
In silence I shall hope,
For, yesterday I heard a cuckoo lulling a lion to sleep.
Oh ye hope!
Holler in the twilight!
Ornate the gloomy night!
Penetrate me with all your might!
Eradicate darkness from my sight!
