Rended My Heart

Rended My Heart

The tar road along the bend is rugged,

Handsome red roses and white tulips are dulcetly studded;

A mellow pink aurora sky slowly engulfs Lovedale,

That haunted evening of a stormy gale.

Enchanting cherry blossoms yet dance magically,

Vintage makes the people sing happily,

Everywhere sounds of joy and gladness echo harmoniously.

Alas! But my soul is soaked in sorrow.

Secretly I tremble and hold back the tears,

Walking in the cool of the day of my fears,

One step at a time as my doom cheers.

Remembering the last conversation with my love,

Drearily I walk back home like a roasted dove.

Roses betrayed me by their thorns,

Engulfed me in the hollow of bleak morns,

Nourished me with poisonous actus,

Draped me in silken cactus,

Earnestly I tried and tried to soar,

Despairingly I waited on Providence to restore.

My dearest bird flew away, from me,

Yonder by the river, I thought I shall rest in glee.

Heart throbbed as blood was pumped,

Eyes shed mournful tears and slumped,

Almighty carried me close to His chest,

Removed faithfully the burden off my breast,

That eve, when a sword rended my heart.
