Cinderella
Cinderella
Cinderella, my favorite fairy tale
A story that will never grow stale
I watched as she danced with her Prince
But when the clock struck twelve, she had to wince.
She left her glossy glass slippers
And ran with flickers
She tried to elude the Prince away
And treasured the beautiful memory at bay.
Everyday she would dance in the attic
Since the moment had turned to a memory in a tick
She harbored the memory in her heart
Like those of her parents and cherished her lot.
Days rolled by, and the Prince knew who he wanted
A search for the unknown would be Princess started
Finally after many a wrong discoveries
The Prince arrived at his sweet strawberry's.
Her cruel aunt shut her in
She saw her life beginning to dim
But "Have courage and be kind"
Her mother's message had her strength bind.
She was in a pursuit to tatter
Her aunt's plan, come what matter
She slid open the window and sat on the sill
And her aunt yelped like a fish without gill.
Lavender blue dilly, dilly
Lavender green
When I'm King dilly, dilly
You shall be Queen.
Who told you so dilly, dilly
Who told you so?
T'was my own heart dilly, dilly
That told me so.
Her lovely voice fell on the Prince's ears
On his command she was brought to be his forever years
"I aint perfect even though the glass slippers fit in perfectly
But I promise to love you faithfully".
"I shall marry for love and never for money
You will always be my sweet pot of honey"
At his words, her smile grew wider
And they lived happily ever after.
