Roots To Fruits

Roots To Fruits

Life blossoms with love and care so rich

The more we tend to it, the more it responds to nurture and nourish

Love could be just a few drops of water to quench the thirst

A peck on the cheek, or a hug so cozy and snug

So also a seed germinates to become a delicate sapling

Shy, reserved and hesitant to the growing trappings.

Transplanted to newer environs, it finds it's ground, settling its roots.

And. ...no sooner, this sapling grows into a plant, spreading its shoots.

Seeking warmth and sunshine to cuddle and refresh

Calling out to the winds to caress them lovingly afresh.

Looking up to the clouds to provide water for irrigation

And begging the birds and animals for their proliferation.

The plant wriggling it's way out to stand tall, really

Now a majestic tree, in all its branches and foliage glory

So also a baby, when raised with love and devotion

Turns out into a child with the right emotions.

Prepared to face the world with grit and determination

Confident and sure, he arrives at his destination

Crossing shores and seeking newer horizons

Expanding his knowledge and wisdom with every season

Symbolic of humanity in its profound origin.
