During lockdown, the closure of educational institutions has been really harsh on both the teacher and the taught. This is a note to thank you for all your patience, dedication and determination to continue to correct us and tutor us to be a better human being. Thank you for bearing with us and answering all our silly questions and for taking care of us as your own children.
Movements halted and we sat in the same surround,
Not bothered what we wore and how we looked if seen.
Hair umcombed, we sat just on time with our nightwear on.
Book wasn't checked if present or absent
It was oral confirmation than physical testament.
Voices seldom cracked in if you unmuted your chatter boxes.
Your handy microphone is now replaced by an ear phone.
A hu
ge classroom to address is now just a screen spared.
We are viewing our teachers in their real selves, more frank and helpful than ever before.
No washroom queues to escape the lessons that dropped our eyelids,
No water filling or drinking permission to make the teacher free from a monotonous say.
How patiently you deal with us respected teacher
Thank you for staying motivated and motivating us.
The relationship shall never be forgotten as,
Teachers day is not the sole day responsible for bearing our gratitude and Thanksgiving to you,
It's every single day we breathe and consume,
That we shall thank you, for wherever we reach it was always you pushing us ahead and feeling proud when everyone else thought it was effortless.
