The New Way Around
The New Way Around
Forced early rising halted and overeating began.
Enmasked we left and sweaty we returned.
Fearing any harm encapsulated,
Washing and scrubbing continued.
No touching, no sneezing, no coughing too,
Lest you should cause running soon.
Less sharing, more caring
More distant, less affected.
Junk we prepare and money we save,
Remembering the tasty food we once ate
Nothing but our eyes and tongue melt.
Formals weep for the scarcity of pick.
Night wears are yawning to be put back to bed.
Technology is cunning, the fox it fades
Network is humorous, cracks voices and visages.
Learning to learn with tough times ahead
Shortages we met and adjustments stared.
Online beat offline mode and is cheering out loud.
Classes we attend in the luxury of our bedroom.
Food by our side and on nightwear to relie
Exams before the screen and papers by our side.
Family seems like a family as everyone is home
Outings have stopped,
Trapped in the body indoor along with the soul.
