Red Eyes
Red Eyes
Eyes that stared back were red rimmed,
Those eyes had somewhat overtly dimmed.
Hands were shaking; heart racing,
Her soul, with fear, was quaking.
The decision was tough, but final.
She couldn’t bear anymore denial.
Opening the bottle became plausible,
Her plea of help was inaudible.
Glancing down at those tiny pills,
She was overcome with chills.
One deep breath; she welcomed them,
She was at peace, no more mayhem.
Throwing her head back, she swallowed,
Into the darkness she slowly wallowed.
In her mind, there was utter silence,
There was no more wildness or violence.
She floated away and into the unknown,
Into the world that was of her own.
Her wish to go was fulfilled,
But had she died or was she killed?
