Journey
Journey
My verses melt
Into the mouth of the night sky
Indolent, they glide through my heart's monochrome
In search of a peaceful sleep.
The dark woods consume my verses
It has been starving for a while now.
The placid lake narrates mahogany dreams
To the fireflies.
My weather-beaten dreams lay languid
Trying to paint the night's bosom with burlesque
The moon shimmers upon the winter lake
Waiting for the morning to take it home.
