Realization

Old postcards,

Sent to me one day,

A present and some heartfelt words,

You asked me to be okay,

Buried beneath the surface,

Lay a mystery maze,

And it took a lot many years to make through,

A lot of time till we could clear this haze!

It was blinding,

This loneliness,

Life always seemed like a mess,

Without you,

Within me,

Life was no less than a test,

Where I was headed,

Was anybody's guess!

So how come we made thorough?

Is it because all these years we grew?

But couldn't forget the love deep inside,

Leaving everything behind,

I see a pinch of love blossom,

After a long night,

There, right there in you, I see the sun,

Glowing, lighting up my steps,

The love didn't die,

Inside the heart is where it was always kept,

And I wish this to never end,

I remember the postcard and your present,

Had we tried to that time,

We could have surely mended,

The fights, those words,

Had we realized, that we embodied each other's​ worlds!
