Rain A Light Cotton Wound
Rain A Light Cotton Wound
A dark, heavily clouded sky thundered.
Birds flew to their nests, seeking shelter.
Nature turned to a dark mood, feeling
worthlessness.
Carrying all the sorrows,clouds moved
to and fro.
Is there anyone to hear, if I choose to speak?
I can’t move for long with this heavy heart.
Who will seize my tribulations?
I am afraid to become a source of calamity.
I stood still, too proud to weep.
An unseen force called me down,
whispered, “I am ready to accept you.”
Oh, not knowing my heart, lost in longing...
One drop pulled out from my core.
It fell deep, down to earth.
Where to from here? I can’t stop it.
I cried, and cried, and cried out.
Oh, she took me—
she made me feel with heart.
It said, “You poured me to greet.”
Sprouted, grown, appeared—
covered with green and green.
I heard the song of hope.
I poured the dry hearts.
Yes, I’m the hope of hearts.
I will come back again.
